Strategy
“Start with the end in mind” – Stephen Covey
To build your strategy, we want to know where you want to be. What does success look like? Market disruption? Secure a patent? What is your exit plan? Is there a number that would trigger that exit – $10M in Revenue? $1M in profit? With the answers to these questions as our guide, together we help you map out a strategy to meet your vision of success.
In the development of your roadmap to success, we take the time to do a thorough assessment – the time-proven SWOT analysis. By identifying all your personal strengths and weaknesses + the market opportunities and threats, we are able to do a gap analysis based on our “One Brick at a Time”™ business model. We believe your business is built – one brick at a time. Rome was not built in a day – it took several years of dedicated effort – we are there with you as a trusted partner, every step of the way.
Execution
“Business ideas are a dime a dozen. Business execution is everything (priceless)” — Thomas Stengrim
Business execution is a lot like a gym membership, just because you have one does not mean that you will be in great shape. It takes commitment, time, effort and resilience. You will have good days and bad days. But each day that you add a brick, you are one brick closer to the house of success. The building your business one brick at a time model is built off timeless proven business fundamentals. While the execution falls on your business, as your strategic partner, we are with you every step of the way. We provide guidance to keep you on track and encouragement to keep you forging ahead. It is easy to sail with the wind at your back. But the true sailor learns to tack and jive and adjust the sails to stay on course when going into the wind.
Growth
“If the rate of change outside the organization is faster than the rate of change inside of your organization, the end is near” — Jack Welch, CEO GE
While simply getting to market is an accomplishment, growing the company is where the real work begins. Managing growth presents challenges. Timing is everything. How much capital will I need to expand? Do I fund it al organically or do I take on investors? What type of investors – angels, dolphins or sharks? How much equity should I give up? How do I continue to maintain month over month, quarter over quarter, and year over year growth? Doubling each year, in the beginning, is easy. How do I continue to increase at an increasing rate? How many employees should I add? Should I bring on a partner?
These are the questions that require continued attention, review and refinement. Your business strategy is never complete, it is a continually adapting and evolving plan. Several market forces can impact the adjustment of your sails. Technology, regulatory, economic, etc.
“Managing growth presents a completely different set of challenges from simply getting the idea to market” — Thomas Stengrim
